Account & Data Deletion
How to delete a Brushler account and the data attached to it
Brushler is a business-to-business tool. Accounts are created and managed by the pool company (the “organization”) you work for, so there are two different requests depending on who you are.
If you are a technician, manager, or staff member
Your account belongs to your organization. Ask an owner or admin at your company to remove you in Settings → Team, which revokes your access immediately. If you cannot reach them, or you want your personal information removed rather than just deactivated, email us using the request form below and we will work with the organization.
If you are the owner or admin of an organization
You can request deletion of the entire organization — your account, your staff’s accounts, and the business data in it. Email us using the request below. We will confirm your identity as an authorized owner before acting, because this is not reversible.
How to make the request
Email support@brushler.com with the subject “Account deletion request” and include:
- Your name and the email address on the account
- Your organization / company name
- Whether you want your individual account removed or the whole organization deleted
We acknowledge requests within 5 business days and complete verified deletions within 30 days. You can ask for an export of your organization's data before deletion — ask in the same email and we will send it first.
What gets deleted
- Account and profile information (name, email, phone, role)
- Login credentials and authentication tokens
- Customer records, addresses, and contact details entered by the organization
- Service history, readings, and job notes
- Photos captured through the app
- Routes, schedules, work orders, and quotes
- Push notification tokens and notification history
- Any QuickBooks Online connection, including stored access tokens
What we may retain, and why
A small amount of information is kept after deletion where we are required or legitimately need to:
- Financial and tax records — invoices and payment records the organization generated, retained as required by law (generally up to 7 years).
- Security and audit logs — records of administrative actions, retained so we can investigate security incidents.
- Backups — deleted data may persist in encrypted backups until those backups age out on their normal schedule, after which it is overwritten.
- Suppression records — if an email address unsubscribed or bounced, we keep the minimum needed to avoid emailing it again.
- Support correspondence — tickets you filed with us, the messages in them, and the technical diagnostics attached to them. These are kept as a record of what was asked and what we answered. We are telling you this rather than promising an automatic purge date, because no automatic purge runs today and we would rather be accurate than reassuring. If you want your support history deleted, say so in the same email and we will delete it along with the rest.
Data your organization pushed to QuickBooks Online lives in that QuickBooks company, not in Brushler. Deleting your Brushler account does not delete it there — manage that from within QuickBooks.
